Welcome to the fever dream on wheels — the Snova. Part folklore, all badass.

Back in the early 2000s, a guy in Southern Utah decided to build something nobody else had: a snowmobile Nova. He hacked a 1970 Nova coupe clean in half, stretched it six feet, and stitched it back together. The back end got a six-wheeled setup with a custom track system, while the front wore giant homemade skis welded around steel wheels. Some say it blasted through powder at 40 mph. Others swear it pulled Santa’s sleigh. Either way, it turned heads and broke all the rules.

Fast-forward to now — and I couldn’t leave well enough alone. The tiny tires are gone, replaced with 53" Michelin military meats on Rockwell 2.5-ton steer axles. All six wheels drive. All six steer. Yes, it can crabwalk — because why the hell not?

Power comes from an 8V71 Detroit 2-Stroke Diesel, factory turbo feeding a blower, the kind of setup you’d normally find in firetrucks or dump trucks. It’s mated to an Allison transmission and a deuce-and-a-half divorced transfer case.

Once she’s on the road, Snova will roll coal, spit flames, crabwalk parking lots, and do just about anything… except pass a highway patrol inspection.
