Mitchell started life as “Monster Nova”, but he earned his real name in honor of his previous owner, Mitchell. He also happens to be the original Gambler 500 Hater Class rig — the first non-cheap build meant to drag dead $h*tboxes out of the woods back in the early days. These days he still proudly hits the trails, hauling trash, repping the Gambler 500 and Sons of Smokey, and showing the world what it means to take care of the outdoors while still raising plenty of hell.

Under the skin, he’s a 1988 K5 Blazer running a 6.5L turbo diesel from a ’93 Chevy 3500 with a mechanical injection pump (no ECM, no problem). Dana 60 axles, 41" Interco IROKs, a Wolfbox camera system to manage the blind spots, full roll cage, racing seats, and 5-point harnesses round out the build.

Mitchell has already crawled Moab, tackled King of the Hammers, and he’s not done yet. Keep an eye out — this once-“Monster Nova” is still evolving into a full-size off-road force to be reckoned with.
